Why Products Don't Match
Not all products will have competitor matches. Common reasons:
1. Unique or Exclusive Products
- Products you manufacture yourself
- Exclusive retailer agreements
- Custom or bespoke items
2. New Products
- Recently launched items not yet in our database
- Limited edition products
3. Niche Categories
- Very specialised products
- Categories with limited UK retail presence
4. Missing Product Data
- No barcode in Shopify
- Generic or unclear product titles
- Missing brand information
What You Can Do
Improve Product Data
- Add barcodes: The most effective way to enable matching
- Update titles: Include brand + model + key specs
- Add descriptions: More detail helps our matching
Manual Search
- Go to the unmatched product
- Click Search for Match
- Try different search terms:
- Brand + model number
- Manufacturer part number
- Key specifications
Request Product Addition
For products you know exist at retailers:
- Click Request Match
- Provide retailer URLs where the product is sold
- Our team will investigate
Unmatched ≠ Untracked
Remember:
- Unmatched products remain in your dashboard
- They just won't show competitor pricing
- You only pay for matched products
Re-running Matching
Our database grows daily. To check for new matches:
- Go to Settings > Sync
- Click Re-match All Products
- Wait for the process to complete
