Reviewing and Confirming Matches

Why Review Matches?

While our matching algorithm is highly accurate, reviewing matches ensures you're tracking the correct competitor products. This is especially important for:

• Products without barcodes
• Similar products from the same brand
• Products with generic names

Reviewing a Match

From the Product Page

1. Click on any product in your dashboard
2. Scroll to the Competitor Matches section
3. For each match, you'll see:
   • Retailer name and logo
   • Matched product title
   • Current price
   • Match confidence score

Confirming a Match

If the match is correct:

1. Click the Confirm button
2. The match status changes to "Confirmed"
3. Price tracking continues with higher priority

Rejecting a Match

If the match is incorrect:

1. Click the Reject button
2. Optionally select a reason (helps improve our algorithm)
3. The match is removed from your competitor data

Bulk Review

For efficiency, use the Pending Reviews section:

1. Go to Alerts > Pending Reviews
2. See all matches awaiting confirmation
3. Use quick actions to confirm or reject in bulk

Finding Alternative Matches

If a match is wrong, you can search for the correct product:

1. Reject the incorrect match
2. Click Search for Match
3. Enter the correct product name or model number
4. Select from search results

Best Practices

• Review matches with confidence below 80%
• Prioritise high-value products
• Check matches periodically as new products are added to our database
